Outreach program for Families of Incarcerated Persons, Ex-Offenders, Displaced Persons, and Youth; Developed pilot program for Children with Incarcerated Parents, a Physical Fitness Program for Overweight Children, assisted in management of Camp Determination, a Summer Camp for Children of Incarcerated Parents-first camp of its kind in Ohio; developed Legacy Academic & Cultural Enrichment Program which began in 2006 and is funded by grants and donations. Legacy provides educational and cultural opportunities for throughout the year, but focuses the majority of its activities on summer outings. Legacy began in response to the budget cuts in both the City of Middletown and the Middletown City Schools District. 3 R Development also provides assistance to a variety of faith-based concerns, community development, start-ups, small businesses and entrepreneurs. 3 R Development has also been an integral partner with Providence VIII, Inc. a youth residential group home, acting as an adviser to the Board of Directors, interfacing with the State Licensing Specialist an all areas of compliance, including staff training. Participant in the Southwest Ohio Region Workforce Investment Board’s National Workforce Development Certification Training sponsored by the Greater Cincinnati Chamber of Commerce; one of 45 individuals selected and the only person selected by Butler County, Ohio.

PowerNet of Dayton is a community development non-profit corporation that specializes in reentry and reintegration of formerly incarcerated persons as a conduit for community revitalization and restoration and economic self-sufficiency. While at PowerNet, I developed and implemented a client tracking system, client risk and needs assessment tools; reported to Board of Directors and represented agency on committees throughout the state, was Co-chairperson Third Annual Conference on Reentry, developed “Reentry on Trial” a Mock Trial Dramatization of controversial issues related to reentry; actual judges and lawyers litigated the issues.

Program Coordinator-Job Readiness Program 2006-2008 Family Service of Middletown, Middletown, Ohio Family Service of Middletown is a social service agency providing direct assistance and emergency assistance and referrals to the community. My responsibilities included developing and establishing the resources necessary to launch the Job Readiness Program as well as cognitive programming, soft and hard skills assessments and making referrals to other agencies, establishing and maintaining relationships for the program’s long term sustainability, marketing and case management for this economic self-sufficiency pilot program funded by United Way of Greater Cincinnati.
